How to Get Ancient Magic Throw
How to Use
Spell Description: Summons and then throws special environmental objects at the targeted enemy. Particularly useful for breaking through Shield Charms. Cast with R1 when that prompt is hovering over an object.
Spell Cost: 1 Ancient Magic Meter bar
- By default, Ancient Magic Throw is activated by pressing R1 (Playstation) or RButton (Xbox). Nearby throwable objects will display a button prompt above them.
- Ancient Magic Throw is not available if there are no throwable objects nearby.
- Ancient Magic Throw is excellent for breaking shields since it breaks any color shield upon impact.
- Aim carefully because thrown projectiles break if they hit other objects in the way of their target. These other objects could be floors or ceilings if the enemy is on a different elevation, pillars, buildings, or trees.

Talents are an excellent way to buff up the spells that you use the most. The talents below greatly increase your combat power with the Ancient Magic Throw.
Ancient Magic Throw Expertise
Catch and throw enemy weapons immediately after disarming them by pressing R1 when the prompt is displayed above the weapon.
Transformation Mastery
Transforms enemies into an explosive barrel that can be thrown with Ancient Magic Throw.
Trait Synergies
Traits are extra enhancements that you can weave into each of your 6 pieces of Gear: Handwear, Facewear, Headwear, Neckwear, Cloaks and Robes, Outfit. Use the following traits on your pieces of Gear to get the most out of Ancient Magic Throw.
Control I, Control II, Control III
Increase Ancient Magic Throw damage with the Control traits. Control III gives the highest damage increase.

Transformation -> Ancient Magic Throw
Use Transformation to transform an enemy into an explosive barrel then use Ancient Magic Throw to throw the explosive barrel into other enemies. This is great for defeating several enemies at once.
This spell combo requires Transformation Mastery.
