Adrenaline Fueled – Back 4 Blood

Adrenaline Fueled is a character enhancement card in Back 4 Blood. It is an Offense Type Card with Reflex Affinity. The card can be used in both PvE and PvP game modes. 

Card Ability

When you kill an enemy, gain 7 Stamina over 7 seconds, stacking up to 5 times.

Pros

  • Generates 1 Stamina continuously for 7 seconds
  • Can stack to generate 5 Stamina per second

Cons

  • Stamina regeneration is dealt over time and may not keep up with Stamina usage fast swinging players
  • Wasted kills for Stamina when 5 stacks of Adrenaline Fueled
  • Less stamina gained overall (7 Stamina) when compared to Holly’s ability (10 Stamina)
  • May run into Stamina issues with higher Stamina cost weapons such as the Fire Axe (20 Stamina) or Baseball Bat (15 Stamina)

Card Playstyle

Unlike many other cards, Adrenaline Fueled in Back 4 Blood is a stapleof almost all melee builds and will be one of the first cards played from your deck since it will drastically increase your melee output.

However, Holly players typically don’t need this card since her ability functions similarly to Adrenaline Fueled.

Players who choose Adrenaline Fueled typically use it for melee tank builds. These players will be happily swinging their melee weapon of choice in big crowds of enemy Ridden without losing any stamina.

Some players will choose to fill out the rest of their deck with defensive and melee damage cards to play a full tank.

Other players will choose to add some weapon damage cards to trade some survivability to help their team with damage output on Mutations and Bosses.

Regardless of what other cards are chosen, players who use Adrenaline Fueled will want to use their melee weapon as primary damage source.

Card Synergies

Adrenaline Fueled synergizes well with other cards that focus on increasing melee damage to help ensure players with this card get consistent melee kills on enemy Ridden.

Survival cards that heal or reduce damage are also great for owners of this card since they tend to take a lot of damage while in melee range.

It also goes well with any card that activates special abilities after melee kills, when the character is close to enemies, or when wielding a melee weapon.

Meth Head – Meth Head in Back 4 Blood is almost an absolute must for any melee build.  It significantly increases melee speed, and more importantly stamina efficiency in order for each melee swing to cost less stamina.

Face Your Fears – One of the best survivability cards to add since the player gains 2 temporary health for each melee kill. This health can go above trauma damage but is not permanent.

Battle Lust – Almost as good as Face Your Fears, Battle Lust is another survivability card that heals 2 red health per melee kill.

Spiky Bits – A great beginning card since it increases melee damage 20% and damage resistance 10% while using a melee weapon. And if you’re using Adrenaline Fueled, it should be most of the time.
