Imperio in Hogwarts Legacy is a Spell that controls enemies to them fight each other. Players who want to play like a Dark Arts wizard will want to learn Imperio since it is 1 of 3 Unforgivable Curses in the game.

Cooldown Time: 30 seconds
- A great spell for crowd control. Not only will the enemy under the influence of Imperio attack other enemies, but it will also be targeted by other enemies.
- This spell works best on the highest health targets
- When cast on a single enemy, it will simply stand in place and do nothing. Petrificus Totalus can also be used.

Imperio Mastery
Enemies under your control with Imperio curse other enemies with each attack. It is good for increasing damage against the other enemies
Basic Cast Mastery
With a spell cooldown of 30 seconds and a spell effect duration of 20 seconds, players will need to wait 10 seconds without an enemy under control. Shorten, and even eliminate this time by casting Basic Cast spells with the Basic Cast Mastery talent learned.

Traits are extra enhancements that you can weave into each of your 6 pieces of Gear: Handwear, Facewear, Headwear, Neckwear, Cloaks and Robes, Outfit. Use the following traits on your pieces of Gear to get the most out of Inferio.
Manipulation I, Manipulation II, and Manipulation III
Increase the damage of any enemy under your control, making it even more efficient as a source of crowd control.
Unforgivable I, Unforgivable II, and Unforgivable III
Deal increased damage to cursed enemies. Great for increasing overall damage when curses are applied to all enemies.
Spell Combos
Hogwarts Legacy gives players plenty of spells to use for combat. Learn these spells combos that include Imperio for extra benefits.
Imperio -> Basic Cast (Mastery)
Use this combo to have an enemy under your control nearly the whole fight. Cast Imperio to place an enemy under your control, then continue casting Basic Cast repeatedly until you can cast Imperio again.
Imperio -> Petrificus Totalus
Cannot work with multiple enemies present
First, cast Imperio on a long enemy or the last enemy in a group. Then the player can repeatedly cast Petrificus Totalus for large damage.
