How is the VDP Latent Different from the VDP Awakening?
The VDP latent is different from the VDP awakening in 4 different ways:
VDP Latent
- Activated by creating attacking with all 5 colors and matching hearts.
- Latent awakening activation does not give the owning card a damage multiplier.
- All damage done after activation will penetration the damage void mechanic.
- Any card can be equipped with the VDP latent.
VDP Awakening
- Activated by matching a 3×3 box (square) with the primary or secondary color.
- Each VDP awakening gives 2.5x to the owning card for each 3×3 box created.
- Only damage done by the 3×3 square will penetrate the damage void mechanic.
- Cannot be added to cards that do not already have it.
What Cards Should Use the VDP Latent?
Card best suited for the VDP latent are cards on rainbow style teams that hit for high damage.
These types of cards typically have:
- High attack stat (over 3000)
- Many offensive awakenings
- Usually hit close to damage cap on their team

Players can get the Damage Void Piercer Latent Tamadra from:
